Terms of service.

 

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with my terms and conditions. By working work with me, you are agreeing to these terms of service.

As our valued client, we promise to do our best work for you at all times. Our job is to present you and your business in the most genuine and positive light possible. In exchange, you agree to provide us with everything we need to complete your project in a timely fashion. This includes reviewing our work and providing relevant feedback where necessary and do so within our agreed upon timeframe.

TIMELINE
The turnaround time for our standard branding package is designed to be 7-14 days, but may vary depending on project scope. You are welcome to add additional services to your package to customize it to your specifications and needs. Time frames outside the standard package will be discussed prior to starting a project. If you’ve got a firm deadline, please let us know prior to beginning the work. 

We believe in hitting deadlines but will need your help in order to do so. We cannot be responsible for any delays caused as a result of a late or absent payment or if you are slow to supply materials or information necessary for us to complete the work. Additionally, we cannot be held responsible for deadlines missed due to circumstances completely beyond our control (acts of God, family or personal emergencies etc.). Our deadlines are firm, but we allow some flexibility. You will receive more information on this in your contract prior to signing on with us.

ORGANIZATION
We house our projects within a secure project management software system, though we will be in touch via Skype or telephone for your initial consultation. The reasons for these are many, but most importantly, it allows us to maintain a written transcript of our communication to refer back to as we work. It also keeps all three of us on the same page. Our initial point of contact may be via telephone or Skype, and thereafter we will be in contact regularly via the hub throughout the duration of the project for progress checkpoints and to touch base.

PRICING
Because ours is a fixed-price agreement, we limit the time we spend writing, designing, and editing. Our project brief limits the need for edits, as it is thorough and we discuss the elements going into the project. However, should you need it, your project allows for a single revision on either side (one for copywriting and one for design). We allow these revisions at no additional charge. Revisions beyond that will be subject to $100 apiece. We will let you know beforehand if your edits will incur charges, so you’re never taken by surprise.

ACCEPTANCE
By publishing the work online or in print, you agree that you are satisfied fully with the work and no further revisions will be offered. Should any changes need to be made in the future, they’ll be billed at my hourly rate. 

USAGE
You are entitled to one of the final drafts of your choice and not to all of the drafts we provide you with. This is the case with any and all copy, design ideas, and other professional drafts.

PRIVACY
We trust and believe in the fact that you will make every effort to be respectful and ethical, and we promise the same. Everything you share with us will remain in the strictest of confidence. This includes passwords, business plans, ideas, thoughts, and correspondence. 

BILLING
Your invoices will arrive upon agreeing to work together. Because you are working with two individual providers, you will receive two individual invoices. One for Melissa, and one for Catherine. This allows us to streamline our accounting. We accept payment through Stripe, Paypal, and Venmo. 

REFUNDS
Due to the nature of the services and the fact that they are personalized and intangible, we require full payment up front on all projects. Because we set aside this time on our calendar for your project, we are foregoing other client work during this window. For this reason, there are no refunds offered.

 

ADDITIONAL WORK
If additional services are requested, you will be notified beforehand and billed the remainder at the end of the project. We will send an estimate first. Once we have received full and final payment as described in our agreement, copyright of all of the work we have produced for you is automatically assigned to you.

 

Because we value authenticity above all else in business, we take great pride in differentiating you from the competition. Even though we are using semi-custom brand designs, your finished project will be unique to you. We will do our best to ensure that our work does not coincidentally infringe upon the rights of any third party or existing copyrights. However, we cannot be liable to you or any third party for damages, including any perceived or actual lost savings and/or profits, claims or complaints, litigation or other incidental, consequential or special damages which may arise regarding your project. We are unable to assume any responsibility whatsoever for your business performance or any loss of business.
